Joseph A. Valvano is the president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut and Westchester, N.Y. He is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and business development of more than 2,200 affiliated sales associates and employees in 51 sales offices throughout Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y.
Prior to becoming president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Valvano was the managing broker of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices in Greenwich and Old Greenwich, CT, overseeing more than 200 affiliated sales associates. Under his skillful management, the Greenwich office frequently ranked as one of the top-performing offices in the NRT network nationwide and was the No. 1 office for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut and Westchester County for many consecutive years.
Over the course of more than 30 years in the real estate industry, Valvano has served in various roles including associate real estate broker, managing broker, and broker owner and has won numerous NRT President’s Council management awards. He owned and operated a boutique real estate firm in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., which was acquired by Coldwell Banker in 1999. At that time, Valvano joined the company as managing broker of the Dobbs Ferry office. He was later selected to serve as the managing broker of the Greenwich and Old Greenwich offices.
Valvano is a licensed associate real estate broker in Connecticut and New York. He is the past president of the board of directors of the Westchester-Putnam MLS and currently elected to the board of directors of the Greenwich Association of Realtors®. He is a member of the Connecticut Association of Realtors®, Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors®, and New York Association of Realtors®.
Valvano earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing management from Fordham University. He resides in Dobbs Ferry with his wife, Therese.
